Kpop. It's too catchy not to listen to. I wasn't planning on listening to it but then I thought it might be a good way to connect with my students (they loved when I could name the different members of Big Bang-pictured) and also damn, it's addicting. I think Kpop is far catchier as a whole than American pop. The one downside is that when the really catchy songs become big hits, you will hear this song literally everywhere you go. Cell phone stores will be blasting it as you walk down the street, you'll hear your students sing it during lunch and break time, radio stations will play it nonstop, it will be used in countless tv dramas and commercial, etc. etc. So you'll get sick of the song after about a week but it will continue to be played for probably a good 2-3 months or more before it goes away, only to be replaced by a new hit.
Songs I've been diggin' lately (and reccomend if you want some poppy muscic):
1) "SORRY SORRY" SUPER JUNIOR
2) "INSOMNIA" WHEESUNG (cover of Craig David's song)
3) "TALK PLAY LOVE" ANYBAND (ok, it's basically a promo song for a cell phone company, but it's still a good song)
4) "SUNSET GLOW" BIG BANG (it's old but I'm still listening to it--perfect for the warmer weather)
